Over the years there have been several frequently asked questions that I feel may need be addressed here.
1. “Are they wax?”
Here I must answer with an emphatic “YES!” and please do not scratch them with your fingernails to find out if so.
This can be most dis-heartening to the creator of such pieces if you may take a moment to imagine the effect.
You scratch it - You buy it!
2. “Why are they shiny?”
After creating the candle the final step in completing the process is to dip it in a high gloss glaze.
The glaze gives it a beautiful and polished look and also helps to preserve the candle.
3. “They are too pretty to burn!”
Now here I must boldly correct you!
THEY ARE TOO PRETTY NOT TO BURN!
Each candle is an oil-burning candle that is designed for use in mind.
IT WILL NOT MELT!
In fact, when each candle is lit a warm soft glow peeks through behind every carved and sculpted design.

4. “Did you make all of these?”
And here another exciting and resounding “YES!”.
Each candle is hand-dipped, hand-carved, and hand-made.
I pour the molds, I dip each candle, I carve and sculpt the wax, I dip it in the bucket of gooey glaze, and embellish each one with flowers, shells, pearls, or dustings of glitter.
Each one is carefully and mindfully and creatively crafted for your own enjoyment.
5. “Do you make custom candles?”
Again, YES!
I love to do custom work.
With your input and ideas I can create the perfect candle for your needs.
Many people are looking for something to match the colors of a room in their house, or colors and theme of their wedding, or a perfect gift for that person that collects a certain animal or thing and seems to have everything else…
Together we can be sure to come up with something perfect for occasion!

6. “How long have you been doing this?”
I have been carving candles now for a little over 9 years.
I studied under the guiding wing of a Master-Carver for sometime and was encouraged to spread my own wings and take my wax creations to the masses in my own unique and expressive way.
7. “Do you teach?”
YES! I most certainly do.
